CorpInfo was featured today at the LA Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards by Cindy Bates, VP of SMB at Microsoft for its seamless Office 365 migration for Sky Zone, the fast-growing indoor trampoline park. With 59 locations in the U.S., Australia, Canada, and Mexico, it is planning to open 36 new parks in 2014.
SkyZone determined that it needed a unified solution that could globally scale without expanding the IT infrastructure. It considered Google Apps but found that employees were less productive due to lack of familiarity with the interface and a steep learning curve.
SkyZone contacted CorpInfo to help craft a vision and strategy. “It was just different with CorpInfo,” said Tom Boyle, Global IT Director. “The first thing they started with was ‘Share your vision with us. How do you see Office 365 fitting into SkyZone?’”
CorpInfo helped SkyZone determine if Office 365 was the right fit. Office 365 not only required minimal upfront investment, but it also expanded their communications and collaboration capabilities. These capabilities were especially valuable to SkyZone is expanding into new markets and regions. It allows SkyZone to support its franchises and ensures staff members and franchises who are geographically dispersed can share ideas and effectively work together.
CorpInfo provided on-going communication to keep key management abreast of the migration status. Sky Zone executives expressed that it was one of the most successful migrations they had experienced. Users expressed appreciation for the quality of onsite support and the effectiveness of “how-to” training guides. The help desk team proved to be invaluable and received positive feedback.
Office 365 allowed Sky Zone to scale in a cost-effective manner without scaling their underlying infrastructure. With a minimal up-front investment, Sky Zone realized an immediate cost savings and was able to reduce daily operation expenses.
Office 365 also improved productivity. It supports all platforms and all devices enabling users to work anywhere, and any time and access documents, emails, and coworkers. Additional benefits were obtained from the collaborative and social networking capabilities of Office 365.
